2. Data we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, phone number and email address when you submit an enquiry or booking form
  • Vehicle registration number when you request a service booking
  • Company name when you submit a business enquiry
  • Any additional information you choose to include in a free-text message field

Information collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate location (country/region)
  • Browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on each page and referring URL
  • Cookie identifiers (see section 8)

Vehicle lookup

If you enter a vehicle registration on an enquiry form, we use a third-party lookup service to retrieve the vehicle make, model, year and colour. This data is included in your enquiry submission and handled in the same way as other information you provide.

  • Send confirmation or follow-up communications related to your request

  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

  • Contract: where processing is necessary to fulfil a booking or service request you have made
  • Legitimate interests: to respond to general enquiries, improve our website and maintain security, where these interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Legal obligation: where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law
  • Consent: where we have obtained your explicit consent (for example, for non-essential cookies)

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with:

  • Assured Group entities: where necessary to deliver services or manage operations across the group
  • Service providers: including email delivery, web hosting, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
  • Google LLC: we use Google Analytics 4 for website analytics (only where you have given consent). Google may process data on servers outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. This transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. See Google's privacy policy for details.
  • Regulators and law enforcement: where we are legally required to disclose information

6. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiry and booking form data: retained for up to 2 years from the date of your last interaction with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner
  • Website analytics: retained in aggregated or anonymised form; raw session data is not retained beyond 14 months
  • Legal and financial records: retained for the period required by applicable law (typically 6–7 years)

7. Your rights

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data where there is no compelling reason for us to keep it
  • Restriction: ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

If you are based in the UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you are based in Ireland or the EU, you may contact the Data Protection Commission (DPC).

8. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the following categories:

Strictly necessary

Required for the website to function. These are set without consent and cannot be disabled.

  • fx-cookie-consent: stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie). Records your cookie preference so the consent modal is not shown on every visit. Expires when you clear your browser data.

Analytics cookies (consent required)

Set only if you click "Accept all cookies". These help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

  • _ga: Google Analytics. Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_QQKKEWYQ31: Google Analytics. Used to persist session state. Expires after 2 years.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred outside the UK/EEA. See section 5 for details.
